Meet the E-Board!Â
Who are we?
We are a dedicated group of students at Temple University who are committed to addressing period poverty in our surrounding Philadelphia community. Period poverty is a pervasive issue that affects many individuals who do not have access to menstrual products due to financial constraints. Our organization recognizes the importance of menstrual hygiene and aims to provide a solution to this issue by distributing menstrual products to those in need.
Our Story
Our story began in the fall of 2022, when we became aware of the issue of period poverty through social media. After learning about the struggles faced by individuals who do not have access to menstrual products, we decided to take action and create a student organization dedicated to addressing this issue in our community.
Over the past year, we have grown significantly thanks to the support of our members, as well as collaborations with the Wellness Resource Center, Office of Sustainability, and Cherry Pantry. With their help, we have been able to distribute menstrual products to individuals in need and raise awareness about period poverty through various events and campaigns.
Our Mission
Our goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment where individuals can receive the necessary menstrual products without feeling ashamed or embarrassed. We strive to raise awareness about period poverty and advocate for policy changes that will help eliminate this issue. As a student organization, we believe in the power of education and community engagement. We host various events and workshops throughout the year to educate individuals about period poverty and its impact on our community. We also collaborate with local organizations and businesses to raise funds and collect menstrual products to support our cause.
We are passionate about creating a world where menstrual products are accessible to all individuals, regardless of their financial situation. Join us in our mission to combat period poverty and make a difference in our community!
